Each recipe in this roundup either takes 30 minutes or less to prep and cook (some will ask you chop ingredients prior to beginning) or uses a slow cooker with prep time of 10 minutes or less. No more panicking about finding something for dinner – there’s something to suit every taste here! Many are also Whole30 friendly (and are labeled if they are.) Hope you enjoy!
What sort of stuff is in the book? This book is centered around the 100+ amazing recipes I’ve developed for you. It’s got seven fueling strategies (when training falls at different times during the day), and fifty meal combinations (think of it like the beginnings of a meal plan). The macros for each recipe are provided. This book discusses performance nutrition in a limited manner, so if you’re after the detailed rationale behind why Paleo is awesome for athletes, I recommend also picking up my ebook, The Paleo Athlete.
These meatballs attempt to capture the taste of chicken enchiladas verde, so if you don’t feel like making up a giant pan of Paleo friendly enchiladas, you can go with this meatball recipe and get a similar results. They are able to pull it off by using a pound of ground chicken, and you want to make sure that the chicken is organic. They are using almond flour to replace breadcrumbs that you’ll usually find in meatball recipes to help hold it all together. They also have it topped with some salsa verde to complete the green enchilada mission.
Apples are one of the healthiest fruits you can have, and are something our ancestors would have eaten anytime they came upon an apple tree. Here they’re filled with tasty things like raisins, brandy, cinnamon, and nutmeg, all baked right inside a cored apple. This means that the flavor gets infused right into the apple, which softens up during the baking process. Giving up dessert is not necessary on Paleo, it’s simply a matter of changing your idea of what dessert has to be. You’re getting a healthy and satisfying dessert here with no added sugar.
Hey, great recipe and site!! FYI, The Paleo Kitchen cookbook has a mayo recipe that is SOOOO much easier…you take 3/4 cut oil of your choice, 1 egg, lemon juice(1 tsp I think), and 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard, place them in a tall, narrow container, and use an immersion blender! Start at the bottom and move the blender upward as the ingredients emulsify. I had quit making my own mayo because the other way was SO time consuming and mine never seemed to come out right, but this version is pretty fool-proof! I use grapeseed oil because the olive oil is a bit bitter for me.
This flatbread pizza is billed as being grain free and nut free, which is interesting because many Paleo pizza crusts will contain almond flour to replace ordinary flour. This recipe uses sunflower seed flour, a very unique choice for a white flour substitute, and it combines that with tapioca flour to live up to the nut-free promise. You are free to add your own toppings, or go with what they’ve used, including fresh tomatoes, spinach leaves, and season things up with oregano, basil, and garlic powder. It’s nice to have a guilt-free delicious flatbread crust recipe to have on-hand anytime you get a pizza craving.
Ultimately, the best way to lose weight is to cut calories, eat a variety of nutritious foods, and exercise regularly. Some dietitians believe that a paleo diet, with limited carbohydrates and plenty of whole, nutritious foods, can be an effective part of a weight loss regimen. Always consult a physician to determine the best weight loss approach for you individually.

This book is a great example of best frugal paleo cookbook; it lets you follow a principle of elimination naturally. The writer of the book herself is a survivor and hence had taken matters into her own hand when it came to finding an effective paleo diet. She busted the myth that one has to give up all the good stuff when it comes to paleo diet. There is a lot of good stuff left even after you have removed all gluten and grains from your diet. Those people who are looking to find taste back into their diets after having indulged in a series of blatant paleo diets can look up to this book without the fear of falling off the wagon again.
I think liver and onions are secretly best friends and the combination even has the potential to make someone love liver. The caramelized onions are very simple to prepare and this recipe doesn’t need anything else to be a complete meal. Liver by itself is so full of nutrients that it could be considered Mother Nature’s multi-vitamin. I enjoyed liver and onions for ages before I learned that the combination is actually a classic in many European countries and is enjoyed all over the world. The ingredient list really couldn’t be shorter.
Bring pizza back on the menu with this recipe that could win an award. It’s made with rhubarb, which if you’re like us you didn’t know much about it before going Paleo. But it’s a very useful item to have around, and it’s used in plenty of recipes. Here they’ve paired it with chipotle powder so you’re going to get a pizza topped with ingredients you probably wouldn’t have considered before. They use goat cheese, which helps to avoid the use of cheese made from cow’s milk, and this is something you may or may not be able to digest well, so use your own judgement on it.

They are snippets of my life and family. They show how I live as someone who eats and lives a primarily Paleo diet and lifestyle. It's real. I don't have the energy nor desire to dress these up and make them fake. You'll see me without makeup (some days), my kitchen messy, me eating stuff I shouldn't. You'll also see me give you tips on making things easier, things I like, and ideas for what to eat or do. And some days they won't have a darn thing to do with Paleo, health, or wellness – it'll just be me and my life.
The mild flavor of spinach makes it wonderfully adaptable to sizzling garlic and spice from the crushed red pepper. For fullest flavor, cook spinach only until it begins to turn limp. Sautéed spinach can be made in a snap and pairs perfectly with almost every protein. If you have leftover spinach on hand or any wilting leafy greens, sautéing with a little olive oil and garlic instantly brings it back to life. Starting aromatics in a cold skillet lets them infuse the oil. The garlic also has less chance of burning. Let cooked potatoes dry out so they'll be extra crispy in the hash. Leftover cooked potatoes would be even better. Ground chicken has a touch more fat than ground chicken breast, key for more flavorful hash. Serve with Sautéed Spinach with Garlic and Red Pepper.
Talk about a company-worthy meal without much effort or a hefty price tag. Serve this easy and elegant entrée over a bed of greens and with a side of steamed broccoli. Chicken thighs offer darker meat with more flavor than chicken breasts. Madras curry is a medium/hot, red curry sauce that possesses a strong chili powder flavor. Paired with the sweet flavor of pomegranate seeds and fresh mint, this chicken dish does not overwhelm the palate. This easy chicken dish is the perfect paleo weeknight dinner, as it requires very little preparation and is ready to serve almost immediately.
The book is a popular seller across multiple platforms and everyone like to have something on their shelf that can get them a momentarily respite from the strict and disciplined approach of the paleo diet. But that is not the only reason why this book found its way on to our chart, there is a very specific reason to put it here. Like all the above mentioned d options, it does not rob you of much while providing valuable alternatives. Once you complete your study you will be actually surprised by how much was hidden right in front of your eyes. Actually now we think that maybe this might have made it to the very top in some other list. There are many options that you can indulge in here.
Stuffed burgers are all the rage, and you can get into the craze with the Paleo diet, you just have to stuff the burger with Paleo friendly foods. In this recipe they’ve used an avocado as the stuffing, which gives these burgers potassium and healthy fat they wouldn’t otherwise have. They are grass-fed ground beef for the burger meat, which you’ll want to get into the habit of buying since it is closer to the natural way cows would eat. They’ve also managed to sneak in some sun-dried tomatoes, so you’ll be getting additional nutrition from those.
I am doing a low carbohydrate (but not totally Paleo) diet. There are a lot of great recipes in this book. I've already made about half a dozen of the meat dishes, several of the veggies and a dessert. The book is well laid out and truly has a wide variety of types of dishes. I've purchased several of these types of cookbooks, and by far this one is the best. Several co-workers have already ordered their own after looking through mine.
